I. Registration for the "Summer of Purpose
What happens to my data when I register as a participant for the Summer of Purpose from 26-28 June 2020 in Munich?
Personal data
The following personal data may have been or will be collected by us before or during the event:
- First and last name
- Name/designation of the institution/organisation/community or your company etc. you represent
- Position
- Postal address(es)
- Phone/mobile/fax number(s)
- E-mail address(es)
- event photographs, videos, sound recordings on which you can be identified
- Personal questions for matching with other participants
Use of your personal data
We use your personal data for the "Summer of Purpose", the "Colloquium 51" and the "Social Business Day". This may include, for example, information sent by e-mail at short notice in advance, the creation of name badges or the sending of documentation after the event, as well as the creation of a list of participants for the registration process on the day of the event. Depending on our documentation obligations, your data will be stored until the end of the project in which the event takes place. In addition, an anonymous evaluation of the data you provide can be carried out to determine the reach (number of participants and target groups reached).
Your personal data will not be disclosed to third parties. Excluded from this is the operator of the registration and matching platform Chemistree GmbH and the event agency circ Gmbh & Co. KG, who need to access your data to process the event. For this purpose, a contract for DS-GVO compliant order processing has been concluded with these companies.
Personal data in documentation of the event
You have the possibility to agree to the publication of your name, organisation/company/etc. and your position in an event documentation (if such a documentation is created after the event).
Photographs, video and audio recordings
During the event, photos, video and audio recordings can be made by the participants of the event. These recordings can be used for the documentation of the event as well as for the public relations work of the Grameen Creative Lab GmbH and its partner organisations such as the Yunus Centre. During the registration process and after the event, you may object to the use of photographs, video and audio recordings on which you can be clearly identified. Please contact the organisers of the event directly. If necessary, a reference picture of you must be created so that you can be clearly identified for the purpose of deleting the image files on the other event photographs and/or videos.
You also have the following additional rights:
- Under Article 15 DS-GVO, you can request detailed information on the processing of your personal data.
- Under Article 16 DS-GVO, you have the right to request the correction of incorrect personal data and the completion of incomplete personal data relating to you.
- In accordance with the provisions of Article 17 DS-GVO, you can request the deletion of your personal data. We will comply with the deletion request unless we are legally obliged or entitled to continue to store and process your data. Legal obligations include in particular statutory retention periods. Furthermore, we are entitled to continued storage if the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims should not be possible for us without your data.
- You have the right to demand that we restrict processing in accordance with Article 18 DS-GVO. If the processing has been restricted, we may only store your data. Any further processing is then only permitted with your consent or for the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims or protecting the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the Union or a Member State. You may revoke your consent granted in this context at any time. You will be notified by us before the restriction is lifted.
- Finally, you have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority of your choice (Article 77 DS-GVO) about the processing of your personal data by us.
II. Data collection on our website
The website www.summerofpurpose.com collects a number of general data and information with each call by a data subject or automated system. This general data and information is stored in the log files of the server. The types and versions of browsers used, the operating system used by the accessing system, the website from which an accessing system accesses our website, the sub-websites that are accessed via an accessing system on our website, the date and time of access to the website, an internet protocol address (IP address), the internet service provider of the accessing system and other similar data and information that serves to prevent danger in the event of attacks on our information technology systems.
When using this general data and information, the Grameen Creative Lab GmbH does not draw any conclusions about the person concerned. Rather, this information is needed to deliver the contents of our website correctly, to optimise the contents of our website and the advertising for it, to ensure the permanent functionality of our information technology systems and the technology of our website, and to provide law enforcement agencies with the information necessary for prosecution in case of a cyber attack. These anonymously collected data and information are therefore statistically evaluated by the Grameen Creative Lab GmbH on the one hand and also with the aim of increasing data protection and data security in our company, in order to ultimately ensure an optimal level of protection for the personal data processed by us. The anonymous data of the server log files are stored separately from all personal data provided by an affected person.
Other data is automatically collected by our IT systems when the website is visited. These are mainly technical data (e.g. internet browser, operating system or time of page view). This data is automatically recorded as soon as you enter our website.
1. SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If the SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.
2. Server log files
The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

- Operating system used
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- Time of the server request

This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 letter f DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
3. Social media
Facebook plugins (Like & Share button)
Our pages integrate plugins from the social network Facebook, provider Facebook Inc. 1 Hacker Way, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA. You can recognize the Facebook plugins by the Facebook logo or the "Like Button" ("Like") on our site. You can find an overview of the Facebook plugins here: developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
When you visit our pages, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook thereby receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. 4. IP anonymization
We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be truncated by Google within member states of the European Union or in other signatory states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before it is transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services to the website operator in connection with the use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not combined with other data from Google.
5. vimeo
Our website uses plugins from the video portal Vimeo. The provider is Vimeo Inc, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.
When you visit one of our sites equipped with a Vimeo plugin, a connection to the Vimeo servers is established. This tells the Vimeo server which of our pages you have visited. 6. Google Web Fonts
